Crompton MH Shoplighters and Downlights
Crompton Lighting is releasing a range of quality 70W and 150W metal halide shoplighters and downlights utilising Atco electronic control gear. These popular fittings have previously only been available with magnetic control gear.
Based upon 3500 hours usage per annum, there is a saving on electricity costs of up to 9% due to the reduced watts loss of the electronic ballast. A further benefit is that the average lamp life is increased from 9000 hours to 13,500 hours with electronic control gear. Lamp maintenance replacement cycle is therefore every 3.8 years instead of 2.5 years.
In addition, there is also a reduction in air conditioning load and cost through less cavity head heat generation. Based upon electricity savings and reduced maintenance costs, the payback period is calculated as approximately six to nine months, with the ongoing benefit of reduced energy consumption and cost.
