Eaton Quickmov™ Surge Diverter
Australia's first fully integrated Surge Protection Device combines surge diversion with fail-safe protection to deliver unsurpassed levels of safety and performance.
Eaton's Quickmov™ is a fully integrated surge protection device (SPD) designed to protect sensitive electrical equipment against the damaging effects of lightning strikes and power surges. Quickmov has a unique connection footprint that enables it to plug directly onto a Quicklag loadcentre, connecting to the chassis busbar for the lowest impedance across terminations.
Its integrated HRC fuse enables Quickmov to be connected directly to the neutral bar, providing the shortest possible cable length for superior protection of the entire loadcentre, and reducing the amount of additional components required to carry out an installation, saving valuable space, installation time and cost.
Quickmov also combines HRC fuse protection with integrated thermal protection placed directly in the MOV compartment, which disconnects the MOV and operates a fail-safe mechanical flag to provide indication of MOV status via a double-layered viewing window. The advanced MOV technology is housed in a dual barrier flame retardant case, to provide optimum surge protection performance without compromising safety and reliability.
The Quickmov's 30kA nominal current (In) surge rating classifies it as a Category C or Category B device according to the ANSI/IEEE C62.41 and AS/NZS 1768 standards. This means it has been tested to withstand 20 hits of a 30kA 8/20uS surge current, which is well above the 15kA Category C level set by the relevant standards.
Quickmov™ is suitable for almost any industrial, commercial and domestic electrical installation or application including:
- Multi-storey and commercial buildings
- Hospitals and medical centres
- Hotels and clubs
- Schools and universities
- Process and control systems
- Factories and units
