We've got your measure.

Do you ever go cross-eyed trying to take accurate measurements, especially in poor light or awkward situations? Dorryl Mahon has an answer.

Dorryl suggests using a tape measure with a square-cornered, right-angled back to the casing, that locks. Run your tape between the two points, lock it on tight, then take the locked tape measure to the material you are cutting. Use the rightangle edge to mark your cut and you can guarantee it will be accurate every time. Especially handy in ceilings for measuring between joists for fan support timer.

Many thanks Dorryl, you have just picked up a cheque for $250, courtesy of The Olex Cable Guy!
